CSUs covered by Bagley-Keene, not Brown Act

Q: Which Act applies to academic senates, their standing committees and subcommittees as well as the Board of Trustees of the CSU, its standing committees and subcommittees - The Brown Act or The Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act? I cannot tell from the Academic Senate link that you have on your web site nor do I consider anything related to any academic senate reliable.

A: In response to your inquiry below, as state entities, CSU bodies would generally be subject to the Bagley-Keene rather than the Brown Act, however, pursuant to the Education Code, certain auxiliary organizations (as statutorily defined) of the CSU system would be subject to Ed. Code 89900 et seq.
