Presentation Proposal Form

The OpenGov02 Program Committee is looking for enlightening, though-provoking presentations and discussions about the law and practical experiences with access to government meetings and information. Presenters will be selected based on qualifications and perceived interest and value of presentation for OpenGov02 participants. Selected presenters will receive free conference registration and recognition in the conference program and marketing materials. Submission Deadline: June 1, 2002

Roundtable Discussions

One-hour sessions that provide an opportunity for an intimate discussion for up to 15 participants on key topics.

Concurrent Sessions

Two-hour presentations featuring individuals or a panel of experts discussing a single topic.

Symposiums

Three-hour intensive, in-depth workshops covering specialized areas of open government law, legal or journalism practices.

Description of Proposed Presentation

Please provide a 500-1000 word abstract of your presentation describing your primary thesis and the main points you plan to cover. Describe the style of your presentation (ie lecture, interactive, compuiter-assisted) and be sure to list any materials you plan on making available to participants. Presenters will be selected based on the qualifications of the presenter and the perceived level of interest in the subject for conference attendees. Some presenters will be asked to present by themselves, while others will be asked to participate in panels exploring the issue from diverse viewpoints.
